What is DHL Post?
The word DHL is derived from the names of the three main founders of the company, namely “Lin”, “Hillblom” and “Dalsey”. The company’s work is in the field of postal services and postal package delivery, which is a subsidiary of Deutsche, the largest postal company in Germany. The company was founded in 1969 and became a large company worldwide after postal developments in the United States market and increasing its postal services worldwide. Finally, in 2001, this newly established company in the United States was acquired by Deutsche Post and is currently responsible for the international postal division of Deutsche Post, which is one of the largest international postal companies in the world. In addition to land postal services, the company also operates in the field of air and sea transport and has become one of the most profitable international postal companies.
In DHL Post, parcels are sent in two modes: private and government, each of which has its own application and characteristics. In private post, the work related to the clearance of goods is done by the post itself and then it is delivered to the recipient by the post officer. However, in government post, the item must first be delivered to the government post of the recipient’s country and the delivery of the item is done by the government post. In Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran Post is responsible for this duty as a government post within the country. If the value of the goods is low, it is cleared by the post and then sent to the recipient by priority mail, but if it is of high value, the recipient must go to the central post in person to clear it.
